Description: This 30"x30" floor pillow is stuffed with leftover foam and quilt batting, making it both comfy and resourceful. The hand-tufting gives it a bit of extra charm and structure, turning a basic cushion into a cozy spot to sit, stretch out, or just add some relaxed seating to your space.
Materials:
- 2x 30” Square Heavy weight or upholstery fabric
- 4x large buttons you can cover yourself
- 5lbs Poly filling
- Batting and foam scraps from other projects (optional)
- Fishing line or thin, strong nylon string
- Polyester sewing thread

- OLFA 45mm RTY-2/NS Quick-Change Rotary Cutter
- Large darning needle or Upholstery needle or Drawstring threader
- Chopstick
- Sewing Machine

(4:01) Cutting Instructions
- (2) 30”x30” pieces of your pillow fabric
(10:09) Sewing Pillow
- Sew around all 4 sides with right sides facing and leave a 6” space to turn your project
(13:09) Stuffing Pillow
- Fill the pillow until it is stuffed but still has some give
(17:32) Tufting Pillow
- Find location of 4 buttons
- Using fishing line and upholstery needle pull layers of pillow together and tie off
(23:04) Make Buttons
- Follow the instructions on the packaging to make your 4 buttons
(25:42) Attach Buttons
- Use the same process as tufting to attach button to the floor pillow
- Make sure the button is placed flat and secure
