***From c8 through c17 the strips are calculated cut out from FQ and FE strips, some will have larger pieces of scraps left except for c9, c12 and c14.
Color 8: Cut (2) 1 1/2" x WOF; sub cut (2) 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" and (2) 1 1/2” x 6 1/2". (used for 2 blocks)
Color 9: Cut (6) 1 1/2" x WOF; sub cut from three strips (8) 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" and from other three strips (8) 1 1/2” x 6 1/2". (used for 8 blocks)
Color 10: Cut (8) 1 1/2" x WOF; sub cut from four strips (10) 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" and from other four strips (10) 1 1/2” x 6 1/2". (used for 10 blocks)
Color 11: Cut (3) 1 1/2" x WOF; sub cut (4) 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" and (4) 1 1/2” x 6 1/2". (used for 4 blocks)
Color 12: Cut (6) 1 1/2" x WOF; sub cut (9) 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" and (9) 1 1/2” x 6 1/2". (used for 9 blocks)
Color 13: Cut (8) 1 1/2" x WOF; sub cut (11) 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" and (11) 1 1/2” x 6 1/2". (used for 11 blocks)
Color 14: Cut same as c12.
Color 15: Cut same as c10.
Color 16: Cut (5) 1 1/2" x WOF; sub cut (7) 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" and (7) 1 1/2” x 6 1/2". (used for 7 blocks)
Color 17: From the yardage (as c17 is also the backing fabric) cut: (3) 1 1/2"x WOF; sub cut (11) 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" and (11) 1 1/2” x 6 1/2". (used for 11 blocks)
Piece the backing fabric for a 57” square size (to be trimmed after quilting to 55” square).

Following the next steps photos, group the strips of colors c8 through c17 with the corresponding c1 through c7 square for an easier sewing process.
Each square will use (1) 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" and (1) 1 1/2” x 6 1/2" strip pieces of the same color.

Organize your sewing table according to the pictures as it shows in order from c1 through c7 color groups.
Sew the blocks and continue grouping them as you go for an easier assembly. Press seams towards the blender strip.

Print or zoom in the chart below to piece the rows of the patchwork top.
Piece each row and press seams open.
Sew the rows together and press seams open.

This project is a table cover, so no batting is used. In order to achieve a soft drape, we’ll baste the patchwork top directly on the backing fabric.

Baste using safety pins. Quilt using the design of your choice, the less quilting the more drape it will have, so a simple X-shape quilting is recommended.
After quilting sew along all edges using 1/8” seam allowance before trimming the excess.
This table cover doesn’t use binding as it is self-bound by the backing fabric. Trim the excess fabric leaving exactly 1” on each side overall.

To self-bind the patchwork piece, each side will be folded twice by 1/2".
In the picture above you see how it’ll be finished when both sides are sewn, but first you’ll have to sew down two opposite sides, sewing along the entire edge enclosing the raw seams.

Then, sew the next two opposite sides to finish enclosing all raw edges and you’ll be all done.
