Tools Needed:

Materials Needed:
  • Serger, or sewing machine with zig zag stitch
  • 3 coordinating colors of fleece:
  • 1⁄2 yard dark
  • 1⁄4 yard medium
  • 1⁄4 yard light
  • 12 wt. cotton thread
  • Fray Check™

 

Instructions
  1. Cut from the dark color fleece: one 25” square for back, two 12” x 101⁄2” rectangles, two 6” x 3” rectangles.
  2. Cut from medium color: two 15” x 101⁄2” rectangles.
  3. Cut from light color fleece: two 7” x 12” rectangles.
  4. Lay out fleece rectangles according to the picture.
  5. Using a flatlock stitch on your serger and the 12 wt. cotton thread in the lower looper, piece the rectangles WRONG SIDES together.
  6. Or piece the pillow together using a zig zag or ladder stitch.
  7. Trim sides of pillow top, squaring up the edges.
  8. Apply Fray Check™ to threads at seam ends to prevent unraveling. Allow to dry.
  9. Stitch pillow top to pillow back, wrong sides together, using a 21⁄2” seam allowance to allow for outside flange, leave an opening to insert pillow form.
  10. Insert pillow form and stitch opening closed.
  11. Toss and enjoy!
