Place the vinyl pieces on top of the contrast fabric that will be on the back of your pockets, and keep the fabric paired with the pocket for the next several steps. (When you finish sewing your pocket in place - the contrast fabric will be sewn in also.)
Trim each vinyl section using the scallop/peak blade on your rotary cutter. Make sure you trim to a size no less than 5" x 7"
Place the two vinyl pieces on the right side of your main fabric - one in the upper left corner, and one in the lower right corner.
Position vinyl pieces as you like, leaving at least 1" space from the edges of the fabric (so you have room for seams and for pillow to taper at sides).
Top stitch each vinyl piece down on three sides - leaving top open. Test opening to see that you can insert a 4" x 6" picture into each vinyl pocket - remove picture before continuing.
Place right sides together for the main and coordinating fabrics (your vinyl pockets are on the inside of the fabric 'sandwich').
Using a 1/2" seam, stitch around your pillowcase, leaving roughly half of one side open so you can insert the pillow form.
Turn pillow case right side out, and insert pillow form. Whip stitch opening closed.
Put your favorite pictures in the vinyl pockets - and keep a few more handy to change the pictures when you're in the mood!
Are your pictures larger or smaller? Make vinyl pockets the right size for your collection!
Another great idea - you can put more vinyl pockets on the back of the pillow - just add the extra pockets before you stitch main and coordinating fabrics together.
