Hot Potato Bags

Create a decorative hot potato bag for yourself or a friend. Fits 2 potatoes, and works every time.

Tools Needed:
Materials Needed:
- Cotton Fabric - 10"x45" for exterior
- Cotton Batting
- Cotton Fabric for Bias Binding
- 1" Square of Velco

- Cut four - 8-1/2" circles from fabric for exterior.
- Cut two - 8-1/2" circles from cotton batting.
- Cut one - 2-1/4" wide bias strip of binding fabric approximately 30" - 32" long.
- Sandwich each circle of batting between two circles of fabric, right sides out. Sew a 1/4" seam around outside of each circle.
- One one circle, fold under 3" and topstitch.
- Stitch the two circles together using a 1/4" seam.
- Prepare bais binding by pressing bias strips wrong sides together.
- Sew bias binding to right side of circles 1/4" from edge. Turn strip to back and hand stitch in place. (Trim seam before turning if necessary.) Press binding lightly.
- Turn flap to close, mark placement of Velcro and sew on by machine.
- To get the perfect, moist, baked potatoe every time: Wash and dry potatoe.
- Place potato in bag. Close. Put microwave.
- Bakes 1 medium potato in 4-6 minutes. When bag because soiled, wash and dry.
